Apple Cider Caramel with Carolina Hickory Smoked Salt & Smoked Maple Syrup

Sugar Bob's Smoked Maple Syrup adds a subtle smokey flavor to these tangy caramels. First we boil down a half gallon of fresh apple cider to make a syrup. Then proceed with the usual recipe but add some smoked maple syrup right at the end of the cooking time. Once poured into the pan to cool, the caramel is sprinkled with Carolina Hickory Smoked Salt.
